New Web Site Explores the Diversity of Women Who are Mothers

Walnut Creek, California - Just because a woman has a child, it doesn't mean she loses her own identity -- at least that's what the women behind Myria Magazine (http://myria.com), a new Web site for mothers launching on November 1, believe.

Created by two mothers who "met" online after giving birth on the same day in 1996, principals Nancy Price of California and Betsy Gartrell-Judd of Ohio designed Myria to bridge the gap between web sites and magazines that focus exclusively on parenting or on womanhood, to instead address the rich life experience of being a woman who is also a mother. Says Price, "Our hope is to deliver the best of both worlds: meeting our visitors' needs as women, but never forgetting we share the joys and responsibilities of motherhood."

With a polished, user-friendly format, Myria includes features such as:

Their content is diverse, and Gartrell-Judd explains, "The goal of Myria is to embrace the multidimensional qualities of women, using information and validation as tools to help us explore the infinite possibilities before us." This supportive, informational online community is free and open to all women who would like to celebrate their myriad interests within the context of motherhood, at http://myria.com .
